Case Study: The Effects of CBD on Anxiety and Sleep

In a year of a pandemic, controversial election, and the upcoming winter months, people have more stress than ever.

CBD has been a go-to for its calming properties, and in a 2019 study published in The Permanente Journal, “CBD displays promise as a tool for reducing anxiety in clinical populations.”

A summary of this study shows that “CBD appears to be better tolerated than routine psychiatric medications. Furthermore, CBD displays promise as a tool for reducing anxiety in clinical populations.”

Some key highlights of this study include:

  • Patients were given 25mg of CBD in capsule form in the morning for anxiety and in the evening for sleep disorders. (Some patients were given higher dosages).

  • Anxiety scores decreased fairly rapidly, and this decrease was sustained during the study period. These results are consistent with the existing preclinical and clinical data on CBD. CBD was well accepted and well tolerated in our patients.

  • CBD was well tolerated, with few patients reporting side effects.

  • The treatment with CBD was in general well accepted, as judged by the clinicians’ and patients’ responses.

Note: all results must be interpreted very cautiously. Randomized and controlled trials are needed to provide definitive clinical guidance.

For those looking to incorporate CBD into their routine, we recommend our proprietary blend of CBD capsules for daytime usage and best-selling CBD Gummies with a proprietary CBD sleep blend in the evening.

Kore Original ™ uses organic CBD isolate, meaning our products have zero THC (the psychoactive part of the cannabis plant). CBD does not give you a “high,” it is typically used for medical purposes.

Both of our Kore Original™ CBD capsules and gummies are made with organic CBD and are 15mg per serving. All of our products are quadruple-tested for purity and potency via an independent third-party lab.
